South African departure on tax
By Roger Bray South Africa is introducing a
new R100 (Pounds 10) departure tax on August 1, which will be added to
airfares and recovered from airlines. The government expects it to bring in
some R2.7m in a full year. The new tax comes on top of a R78 charge already
added to ticket prices. |
